Random Catch-Up

In an attempt to get caught up in a short period of time I have here, I have combined a few images that show a little of what's been going on "Down Emery Lane." This is, by no means, all that has been going on. Some of the other notable highlights (Becky and Andrew's anniversary, Marina's birthday, fun parties, etc.) have slipped by without documentation here on the blog - much thanks to my camera not making the cut in the backpack anymore. So happy everything to family and friends! :)

A.) We are building a house! We have been working for a month or so on our selections with a new house. It was a house going up in a neighborhood we love, and we got in just in time to pick everything. For an indecisive person, this has been a hard task. The best part about our decision to live here is that we will be just a couple minutes from my little sister, eventually in the same neighborhood as my older sister, 20 minutes from my parents and 40 minutes from my inlaws. Really, who could ask for more?! We are hoping to be in by the end of year so more to come on the finished product.

B.) We went to Bek's flag football game last weekend and had so much fun. His team dominated the field, and Bek was all smiles the whole time. Bek has played several sports so far, but I'll have to say that this one was the most fun to watch. Way to go Bek!

C.) Taye, Taye. We have enjoyed getting to know our sweet nephew lately. He is just so sweet and happy-go-lucky. Just look at that face? It doesn't get much cuter than that!

D.) We have played outside a lot at our new rental house. Some friends gave us this turtle sandbox, and it sure has been a highlight. I find sand all over our house now - even sometimes in the sheets. That's just what you get with toddlers and a sandbox.

E.) Gavin is really on the move lately. I cannot keep this boy in my sight. As soon as I turn my back for one minute, he is gone. One of his favorite spots to sneak off is this old swing at our neighbors house. It has spiders, dirt and whatever else on it, but he loves to crawl up and sit on the swing. Emmy joined him the other day just before the swing fell over.

F.) Where we live now, we find deer and wild turkey nearly everyday in our backyard. It is now a highlight for Emmy to run to the sunroom in the morning to see if there is a cluster of deer. The other morning we found a group of wild turkey instead. Fun for the kids to watch all the animals.
