Here we are...14 days into the New Year. Cheers to 2015! A little recap of our celebration...we celebrated by ourselves Dec. 30 with a night in Nashville. We booked a hotel, walked around downtown, ate a nice dinner and ended at a Honky Tonk like all other abiding tourists. It was nice to enjoy a night to ourselves (thanks to Nana & Pops) before picking up our kids and ringing in the New year at home in our jammies.
E wanted something special, so we had them blow out a candle and make a wish for 2015. They ate ice cream with whipped cream and marshmallows and we toasted with cranberry ginger ale. Emmy thought this was the best drinking out of fancy cups! These glasses were an heirloom from my grandmother, so I felt Nanny was there with us celebrating as we toasted with her cups.
This girl had some fun with the whipped cream!
And look how big this boy already looks on the last day of 2014!! I can't believe he will turn 4 this year.
We have kicked off 2015 with some frigid cold temps and little sunshine. We are looking forward to brighter days with SUN and warmer temps soon so we can get outside and be active again. Until then, we are hanging tight and enjoying the company of one another. I think 2015 is going to be a great year. Hope you'll continue on our journey. There is lots more to come!
