April 23rd is always a big day around here. Our Captain had a birthday, and he happily shares the day with TWO nephews...Carter and Taye. We were lucky enough to see both yesterday for the big day. Taye and Gavin had a t-ball game together, and Taye was a big ham on the field for his special day! Carter and family made a visit to Tennessee, and we got to have them over for the afternoon to celebrate the birthdays! Such a beautiful and fun day to spend with family!
Seth doesn't always dress up like a pirate for his birthday. There is a story behind this one. I always let the kids pick out a special gift for their daddy on his birthday. I tell them they can get him anything they want (within reason and approval by mommy). Gavin spotted this costume, eye patch and earring on Amazon and he knew instantly that he wanted to get it for daddy so they could be pirates together. Such a sweet memory we will have of our little guy and his love for pirates. As long as he is into pirates, we will never have too much pride to join him in playing fairy tale and dress up. And I must admit that Seth makes a pretty good pirate! :) Hehe!
The birthday boys! Carter turned SIX years old. Seems like yesterday when he was born. Such a big boy now and so cute!
Aunt Shelly needs to come live with me! She helped with Knox all day long and did everything for him. It was wonderful! This picture was right after she had styled his hair. Look how he loves her!
And here is the other birthday boy! This was from one of the t ball games. He looks so darn cute in his little Red Sox uniform and hat!! Can't believe you are FIVE!!
