Summer Swim Team 2018

My little anxious homebody who doesn't like to try new things really stepped up to the block (literally) this past month, put his fears and anxiety behind him and powered forward to try a new sport. He wasn't thrilled that I put him in swimming and was so nervous before his first practice and meet. I assured him we were just going to try and if he doesn't like it...we can move on to another sport.

Turns out, he is a pretty darn good little swimmer! Also turns out, the little guy has a competitive spirit like his daddy and likes to win! So he put his mind to it and brought home a heat winner ribbon (or two) at ever single meet. We just finished up the Williamson County meet this past weekend, and he brought home a high point runner-up trophy. We are so proud of this kid for having a good attitude and trying something new.
This was his first meet in Brentwood. He was so nervous when he didn't know what to expect.
But then he got this sweet little purple ribbon after winning his freestyle, and he was all smiles! Since the other kids were with Mimi, I took him out for a date. He chose to eat at Brixx for lunch, paint pottery and get Jeni's Ice Cream. And just because we were at the Factory, we may or may not have snuck in a cronut from Five Daughter's Bakery! Gavin said this was one of the best days he has ever had.
