Emmy got her first haircut today with cousin Bek. Becky and I took them to Divas and Dudes, and it was the cutest place. Let me preface it by saying that we tried to go at 9 a.m., and they didn't open until 10 a.m. What to do until then?? Target of course! We strapped them in together and had the bright idea to get them an icee, which they dripped through the entire store and got ALL over their clothes. Please remind me never to give a 1-year old an icee. After playing at our house for a bit and this fun outing, my child was spent (not to mention she has an ear infection). We still pressed on...Bek did so good at the salon and sat like a good boy. Emmy, on the other hand, couldn't have been worse. She cried and tossed around in her chair (note no pictures of her in the chair). The stylist even offered her all sorts of suckers and toys and nothing worked. She was completely out of control and mad at the world. Needless to say, we did take care of that mullet. We weren't leaving without a haircut! It is now a cute little bob, and she looks so old.
Bek is now a pro at this!

At home and still mad. Note to self: Never take a 1-year-old baby to the salon who is tired, hungry, cranky, teething and battling an ear infection. That was a recipe for disaster for sure.
