Day two of Disney was was filled with animals. We opted to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge on the safari side so it was exciting to see animals out our window every morning. Emmy spotted a giraffe before we headed out to Animal Kingdom where we would find many more animals.
One of the highlights was a safari ride through the African jungle. We saw all sorts of cool animals, but a few of the highlights were the elephants, hippo and lions.
Of course we had to get our face painted. Emmy picked a rainbow theme and Gavin picked the pirate theme. He loved it so much that he didn't want to wash it off.

I feel very fortunate that I got to spend my birthday at Disney World with my family. We finished our day with dinner at the Rainforest Cafe, and Emmy secretly told the server it was my birthday so they would come sing and bring this desert. The perfect ending to the perfect day!
