Halloween: The Princess and the Owl

There are some moments in parenthood that are so special that you wish you could re-live them again. I had one of those moments last night. Emmy was so cute trick or treating and had so much fun. She loved being a princess and didn't let go of her wand, tiara or gloves the entire night. It was also rather chilly last night but in the spirit of being royalty, Emmy refused her sweater to play the part all night . She had chill bumps at one point but said she was fine.

We packed the kiddos in the wagon and headed out in our neighborhood. We found some cute spooks along the way and came home with a bucket full of candy.

Emmy was very conservative with the candy and only took one piece - even in the buckets that were left out. So cute!

Big eyed owl!

Below: Emmy was shy about ringing doorbells and knocking on doors alone. She would hardly say a word but a quiet "thank you," but as soon as she got the candy, she would run back to the wagon with a huge smile saying "Daddy, daddy, I got all sorts of candy!"

My night owl...
