Chore Time Around Here!

Other than the fact that we are out-numbered with 3 children to 2 adults and someone needs you in every minute of the day, the hardest part of parenting is keeping up with the thousands of tasks around the house. These is a lot to be done in a single day including making breakfast, feeding the dog, making beds, keeping up with laundry, putting up clothes, washing dishes, giving Knox bottles, etc., etc.
In an effort to get a little assistance around the house, I created these cute little chore charts for the kids. They have magnets with a "To Do" list each morning and a "Done." If they reach the "Done" list by the end of the day, they get a check at the top and a dollar. They have a chance to earn $5 by the weeks end if they complete everything.

The kids loved this idea and sat and played with their magnets forever Sunday night. They were fired up Monday and got most of their chores done even before school!! I am so happy we now have a system in place and hope we can keep the kids excited about it. We will see how it goes.

To be continued...
